Easter is a beloved Christian festival that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is widely celebrated around the globe by Christians every year. It is a sacred time of the year when families gather together and partake in traditional Easter activities to commemorate the significance of the festival. With that being said, here are some fun things to do at Easter with your loved ones.
Jelly Bean Guessing Games
Fill up an empty jar with jelly beans, with each person having to guess the correct number of jelly beans. The person with the closest guess wins all the jelly beans. A slight iteration would be having to correctly guess the flavor of the jelly beans after eating them.
Easter Egg Hunt
You can fill up plastic eggs with candies and hide them for the kids to find, akin to a classic Easter egg hunt. An alternative is to use play-dough spring eggs where the kids can play with the dough after they successfully find the eggs.
Easter Themed Scavenger Hunt
Put together a list of Easter-themed items for the kids to hunt for. This is a fun and adventurous outdoor activity with an Easter twist to it!
Easter Egg Charades
Write the prompts on pieces of paper and insert them into the Easter eggs. Each person will have to act out the word or phrase, which would be related to the Easter festival.
Egg and Spoon Race
Balance eggs on metal or wooden spoons until you successfully cross the finish line. If the egg breaks, you’re out! If not, you can continue the race, although it will certainly hinder your progress compared to the other participants. Even better, make it into a relay-styled race for the entire family to participate.
Chocolate Easter Bunnies
Using melted chocolate and bunny molds, teach your grandkids how to make their own chocolate Easter bunnies. First, fill up the molds with chocolate and place them in the refrigerator for a few minutes for the chocolate to harden. Next, place sweets into one side of the mold, using the melted chocolate to seal the other side of it. Your chocolate Easter bunny is now ready to be savored!
Bake Easter Goodies
Bake Easter bunny cookies or cupcakes, with the whole family in the kitchen donning aprons and armed with mixing bowls and baking sheets.
Decorate Easter Eggs
Use pressed flowers, melted crayons, glitter, and colored dyes to decorate Easter eggs in unique ways. An activity to do together with the children!
Easter Bunny Visit
Task several team members in your community to dress up as Easter bunnies and candidly hand out candies to the visiting children. They can also give the kids stuffed toys and plush rabbits as Easter presents.
